
Basic Information
Session Times
Half-day sessions:
Morning Sessions: 10am – 12 noon
Afternoon Sessions: 1pm – 3pm
Whole-day sessions:(available September to February only).
10am - 3pm.
Times can be adjusted slightly - please talk to the farm teacher to discuss this.
Prices
Half-day visits - £67 per class.
Whole-day visits - £134 per class (except for the pony riding day which costs £199 per class).
Ratios
The farm can cater for a maximum of 32 pupils per session. Suggested adult/child ratios are:
Nursery/Under 5’s - 1 adult:4 children
Over 5’s – 1 adult:10 children
The exact adult:pupil ratios will depend on the class teachers own risk assessment.
Hygiene
After the farm tour, visiting staff will be asked to supervise their children with toileting and hand-washing.
Refreshments
At the end of the visit, children will be provided with a drink. There are no food facilities at the farm, so if you wish to, you may bring small snacks such as fruit or biscuits for your class. Those coming for a whole-day visit should bring packed lunches.
Other Facilities
There are toilets for children and also a staff and disabled access toilet.
